TAM, The Artist
Tam’s biological name is Tamarin Moelans. Everyone calls her Tam, so that’s her stage name too. (short and sweet)
Since Tam was a little girl, she has wanted to make a difference in the world. It is her goal in life that her legacy will remain when she is no longer here.
Having tragically lost her brother, Jacques, at the tender age of 26, she realizes how short life can be, there are no guarantees, and moments must be seized.
Tomorrow may be too late. Tam sees music as a vehicle to reach people and would love her music and life to inject a confidence into people to make them realize
that they can dream big, and not be stifled and strangled by the validation of man.
Tam is a performing singer/songwriter. It is her dream and goal, however, to write songs for other artists, both male and female, in the industry as well.
Tam’ s music is happy and sad, zooty, thought-provoking at times, beaty, melodic and fun, and always with a thread of love woven into it.
Tam believes that the best schooling for song-writing is the radio. She listens to what’s currently playing, because what is currently playing, is what people
want to listen to. She loves all styles of music – Music that has soul touches her. She has many cd’s and dvd’s in her collection. A list of her top five favourites
are: Best of U2, Indie Arie, Tracy Chapman, Lenny Kravitz and Edie Brickel.
Her main role model is Dianne Warren. She would love to have coffee with her and allow Dianne’s wisdom to rub off on her. “Dianne Warren quietly works
behind the scenes making amazing hit songs. Most of the time, the singer takes the credit. I love her humility. It inspires me.”
“I wanna work with producers who can take my songs to different places. I know that I have written a good one when different producers can take the same song to a
different place. I think the key is being able to write the song and then entrust it into the hands of the producers who will pour flavour and taste into the song and give
it wings to fly.”
